The miniatures come pre assembled and ready to play straight out of the box. The two forces come moulded in two colours so its easy to tell them apart. Grey for the Starks and red for the Lannisters. The miniatures are highly detailed, i was very surprised at just how good they were for pre built one piece miniatures.
The rule book is written well and very clear, its one of those games with a small and easy to learn rule set which takes time to master.
Everything is laid out clearly with plenty of picture diagrams and examples of rules.
The unit cards are nice and compact and easy to read, will all the stats that you need to use those units on the table top.
The stats are broken down into: speed, attack, morale, defence and abilities.
The card also shows any house alliance and unit names.
This set gets the full 5 stars. At the price of £100 you will be hard pressed to find a starter set with better value for money. The starter set contains everything you need to play with no hidden costs and with over 100 miniatures in the box , you will have many hobby hours awaiting you.
