Today we are going to paint the General Grievous miniature from the Star Wars Legion starter box.
I gave the miniature an all over prime of a basic white spray paint. I used a car primer from poundland but if your following along you can use any white primer you wish.
I kept the cape an head separate from the body for ease of painting in the first few steps.
The first step was to paint the inside of the cloak with Games Workshops contrast paint Flesh Tearers red.
I then d Games Workshops Mephiston red to highlight each panel on the cloak.
I then used Games Workshops Evil Sunz Scarlet to highlight the raised areas of the cloak.
The next step was to paint the gun, light sabre hilts, the under armour of Grievous body and the remaining parts of the cloak with Games Workshops Contrast paint black templar.
Once the black was fully dry the body armour was painted with Games Workshops contrast Skeleton horde.
The under armour and weapons were given a light over brush using Games Workshops leadbelcher.
The armour was lightened up using Games Workshops Ushabti Bone, making sure to leave some of the darker colour visible in the lowest areas, where the shadows would lay.
The highest points of the armour were highlighted with Games Workshops Screaming Skull.
I then glued on the cloak and head to the body.
A little bit of Games Workshops contrast blood angels red was layered into the eye sockets of the miniature.
A mix of Games Workshops contrast paints Iyanden yellow and Gryph hound orange were used the paint the rock onhe base.
I used Games Workshops Technical paint Tesseract Glow to paint the lower light sabre.
I also used a little of the paint on the armour plates of the miniature closest to the weapon, simulating the weapons glow.
I used Games Workshops Contrast paint Aethermatic blue to paint the upper light sabre.
I also used a little of the paint on the armour plates of the miniature closest to the weapon, simulating the weapons glow.
Using a fine detail brush I used Games Workshops Yriel Yellow to paint the eyes of General Grievous.
I used Games Workshops Abaddon Black to paint the rim of the base.
To finish General Grievous i used Games Workshops Dry Ryza Rust to drybrush the rock and sand.
