Rogue trader land raider
The Land Raider first appeared in the Rogue Trader rulebook back in 1987. The version of the Land Raider pictured in the book was scratch built by Dave Andrews, armed with a Lascannon on each side.
When Games workshop made a kit for the Land Raider in 1988, the number of weapons had been upgraded, and the tank was now armed with 2 twin Lascannons and a Heavy Bolter.
The kit was rare even back in 1988, Games Workshop produced the kit on a limited run, and it was only on sale for a few years.
This is still a great kit over 30 years after its initial release and was so popular, Forge world made an updated resin kit for the Horus Heresy game (Called the Land Rader Proteus).
Some of the details are a little soft compared to modern day plastic kits, but just through sheer nostalgia I have to give it 4 out of 5 stars.
One day i will get around to building and painting this kit, so keep an eye out for that.
