It was a very warm Sunday morning at the Swallows Leisure Centre in Sittingbourne, which was made a little more unbearable by the humidity of the swimming pool. Thankfully I was running a demo table positioned by the open fire doors in the large hall.
It was my first time at Broadside, which is run by Milton Hundred Wargames Club, and I have to say I was very impressed. Walking around. I noticed a nice selection of products available from the trade stalls, ranging from the usual Games Workshop miniatures to metal Ancients miniatures.
Broadside manages to hit that sweet spot for events, not too big but not too small. You can walk around comfortably without the feeling of being crammed on a busy tube train.
The quality of the displays and gaming tables were top notch, easily putting some of the bigger shows to shame.
I would highly recommend attending future Broadside shows, you will have a great time.
