Part 2: The Frame
With all chairs, the most important part is the frame. The frame is the skeleton of the build.
lengths of wood were cut to the desired length ” 2 of each length” to create a left and right side.
- Back strip 60 inches
- Arm rest 24 inches
- front leg 30 3/4 inches
- Botton brace 17 inches
Dado joints were used to attach the lengths together. The joints were strengthened with wood glue and 2 screws at each connection.

Once each side of the frame had been given a few days to fully set I cut some bracing beams to attach to the front and back, creating that classic chair shape.
