The chair was finished off with a coat of wax polish. 

This was brushed onto the chair with a 3 inch paint brush. The wax contains a mineral spirit so once the chair was fully coated I waited 20 mins or so for some of it to evaporate.

The final step was to buff the chair with a hard bristle brush. this took a few hours over a couple of days to get the wax nice and shiny.
